Forbo Flooring requested two different patterns which would work as a family. The patterns should be able to be used both individually and paired.

As my source of inspiration I started from one of the cityscape's most recognizable patterns: the crossing point. The function of the pedestrian crossing is to safely lead you from one side of the road to the other. Just like so the larger scale pattern in Marmoleum acts as a guide in larger buildings such as schools or hospitals. The complementary pattern in Flotex is more playful and made for the rooms you spend more time in, e.g. a waiting room or classroom.
